Immediately following the French Market Buffet dinner we will hold an awards and special guest speaker in our own private meeting room. The tournament banquet will be held on Tuesday evening (Oct. 26th) during the tournament week. This will allow for all teams to plan for other events and shows throughout the tournament week in Las Vegas.
MANAGERS AND DISCOUNTS:
Rookie Manager’s discount: A rookie manager is entitled to a discount of $15 for each player he recruits. For example, if you are a manager and you bring a team of 10 players or more into the tournament, you would receive a maximum discount of $150.00 from your entry fee. For each player that the NABA must assign to complete your team with at least 11 players (including yourself), $15 per player will be deducted from the maximum discount.
Veteran Manager’s discount: A veteran manager is entitled to a discount up to $150, if his returning team is complete with a minimum of 11 total players (including himself), and he doesn’t require additional help from the NABA to complete his team. For each player that the NABA must assign to complete his team, $15 per player will be deducted from the discount.
UNIFORMS:
All new teams and veteran teams entered into the Over 50 or Over 60 National Fun Tournament will receive a uniform with color and team name of their choice, and a matching NABA tournament cap. If you’re a new team or a veteran team, and you have your own uniforms, you may choose to utilize them or take the tournament uniform. If your team is utilizing your own team uniforms, then you may take the $20.00 uniform discount. You will still receive a tournament cap. If your team is utilizing the tournament uniform, you are not eligible for the uniform discount. All player uniforms must match each other.
EMERGENCY SUBSITITUTE PLAYER
If you would like to play in more than one game per day by being listed as an EMERGENCY SUBSTITUTE PLAYER then on the registration give us your name, primary team assignment, Las Vegas contact phone number or cell phone number, age, height, weight, and playing position preferences will be given out to all managers, and you may be contacted (not guaranteed). You may also promote yourself as an emergency player on your own.
ELIGIBLE SECONDARY PLAYERS AND COSTS
If you’re only age eligible for the Over 50 divisions, would you like to play more than one game per day (NOT GUARANTEED) by being assigned to an Over 50 “Team USA” organization, then on the registration form sign up as a secondary player PLEASE NOTE: “Team USA” Organizations will only be used in the Over 50 Aluminum Division. There will be no “Team USA” Organizations allowed in the Over 50 Wood Bat Division.
PLEASE NOTE FOR TEAM USA ORGANIZATIONS: The tournament will assign TEAM USA organizations with players who are primary players from existing teams who are interested in playing more than one game a day. These players are called secondary players. These secondary players for TEAM USA will be responsible for showing up at the game for the TEAM USA they have been assigned to play for. The only exception may be if your primary team is scheduled to play against a TEAM USA. The NABA will do all it can to eliminate the possibility of matching a secondary player on a TEAM USA against his primary team. However, the NABA cannot guarantee that such a conflict may arise. Since the TEAM USA games will be played at the 3:00 PM time slot, we are hopeful it will eliminate most of the conflicts in allowing you to make it to your TEAM USA game.
PLEASE NOTE: No secondary players will receive a second uniform or matching cap for the TEAM USA they will be playing for. You will use your primary team’s uniform and cap so it is obvious that you are a secondary player playing in the game. In addition, playing in a second game incurs costs for fields, umpires, and baseballs so there is an add-on cost for being a secondary player. Each secondary player must pay an additional $50 in order to be assigned to a TEAM USA organization. THE SAME IS TRUE FOR PLAYERS WITHIN ORGANIZATIONS WHO PLAY FOR BOTH TEAMS IN DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS. |
