Welcome to the newsletter of the National Adult Baseball Association. We will provide regular updates on association news, as well as reminders about upcoming tournaments, and we will spotlight NABA member association benefits and special product promotions. 2010 PHOENIX WORLD SERIES WELCOME PARTY

WHEN: Sept. 29 & Oct. 9
WHERE: Dobson Ranch Inn
TIME: 5 pm-9 pm

For all those attending the World Championship Series this year, the NABA is throwing a change-up at you. Replacing the traditional BBQ and Vendor Expo are two Welcome Parties, held in conjunction with team check-in at the Dobson Ranch Inn.

Come join the fun by the pool and catch up with fellow players. There will be free food, drink specials and vendor booths, as well as TVs poolside to keep up on all the latest sports action.

Also, raffles for great prizes will be held throughout each party. All players and teams attending the WCS are welcome. The event is included as part of your player's fee.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES INFO

Final deadlines are approaching for the Phoenix (Sept. 30-Oct. 16) World Championship Series.

The Phoenix World Series 2010

deadlines for the 25s, 45s and 50s divisions have been pushed back to Sept. 15. For the 35s, 55s and 60s, the final deadline now is Sept. 22.

The deadline for the 18s divisions has passed, but call ASAP (800-621-6479) if your team still is interested in attending. Teams may be allowed to enter based on bracket availability.

OVER 50/60 TOURNAMENT

Registration also is nearing completion for the Over 50/60 National Fun Tournament in Las Vegas (Oct. 25-30). Register by the end of September at the rate of $445 per player. The rate jumps to $485 if received in October.

BIG WINNERS IN ATLANTIC CITY

Congratulations to the Tri-State Titans (18A division) and the NY/NJ White Sox (18AA) for winning titles at the Labor Day Games event in Atlantic City.

The Titans went 4-1 overall, claiming the championship with a 10-3 victory against the Lancaster All-Stars. The White Sox finished 1-2 in pool play and qualified for the playoffs as the No. 4 seed, before taking out top-seeded Roberto Clemente 11-10 in the semifinals. They beat the LA Dodgers 12-5 in the title game.
