We know this is a busy and eventful
time for everyone, with school
starting and the fall sports season
underway, but we wanted to share
some exciting news with our Dakota
Ridge community.
As you probably are aware, the
Dakota Ridge youth sports community
has been served recently by both the
Dakota Ridge Baseball Association
and the Dakota Ridge Youth
Basketball Association. Both
associations have represented each
particular sport well, and would
have continued to do so in their
present capacity.
In an effort to further build a
combined youth sports association,
the Dakota Ridge Baseball
Association and the Dakota Ridge
Youth Basketball Association will
join resources immediately to form
the Dakota Ridge Sports
Association.
Dakota Ridge boys basketball coach
Curi Yutzy, girls basketball coach
Traci Nemechek, along with baseball
coach Jeff Legault, were
instrumental in the formation of
this joint association. It is their
belief that the youth sports
community in the Dakota Ridge area
will benefit from having a common
connection, for registration,
communication and implementation of
Dakota Ridge sports initiatives.
Registration for boys and girls
Dakota Ridge youth basketball will
be open next week, and once the
online component is set up, you will
receive another email directing you
where to register. We had hoped to
have the new web site:
dakotaridgesports.org
operational before sending out this
announcement, but we wanted to get
in touch with the basketball parents
immediately because of the growing
questions regarding registration.
We hope you are as excited as we are
about the new association, and we
look forward to serving you for
years to come.
